| BTW, who came up with the forum title. I love it. However, in keeping with the 'old school' in-jokes, perhaps the "off-topic" thread board should be titled, "Ride for the gate!" | |

| "Okay, you're in a tavern. . . ." was how many of DM Roddy's adventures began. Well, they weren't exactly adventures. More like barroom brawls. (I think SH also DM'd this sort of event.) | |

| One of the first times I played with you guys (I think it was giles world but it could have been Jonathan consider there were criticals.) I came home late and jenn muttered half asleep "how was the game" I replied I broke Daves arm and she was instantly awake.
You see we were in a bar in some town and nothing was happening, Dave was pissing me off for some reason (or maybe none, i could have just been surlier than normal) so I approaced the biggest guy in the bar and told him Daves Character said he was a wuss and was going to kick his ass.
naturally we had to defend ouselves and busted up the bar and several patrons in the process and Dave character, got his arm broken and we all ended up in jail.
Of course I did many things to Pickaxe. spreading his claim of being an avatar of Samwise Selling Jaden Pickaxe, avatar of Samwise statues all over town constantly telling the cultists where Pickaxe was.

| I miss the Giles campaign where a thief actually got the opportunity and time to be a thief and alignment issues were never brought up over Heinrick being a homicidal, xenophobic loose cannon intent on killing any and all sub humans and mages that got in his way.
Also lots of fun shit happened to us often without leaving town.
Undead in our basement getting caught lashing dead cultists to pier in the harbour zombie baby Tossed in gaol on seveal occasions
Realms seemed to be a lot more colourful setting.

| very funny... but I don';t think it was the Realms setting per se, but Giles as a DM. He was very much in the Ed Greenwood school of Dming: if it's fun, then let the players do it and live with the consequences...
there is something to be said for that. But for mer personally, I can't DM a long-term campaign like that...
