Well the DM and I have to go over Carrow's trip to Selene, the contacts made, the trees and other plants gathered, and then we can pick a good location. I know Carrow offered the area as a place of respite, and possible settlement (an eleven ranger from Selene, and possibly a druid also offered assistance to establishing my wood). Also, you and I discussed the hill would be perfect for bracken and such--it would enable me to cast a number of spells. Did the hill overlook a road, and perhaps a small stream ran through it or near it?
A copy of your map would be useful. I think I showed you a mapping program I can use to produce hex or grid maps with terrain features. It's something I could post.
Carrow also offered to plant trees and the like in the town and other areas, and help with the crops.
Lots of work to do.
