Might I be so bold as to request that the xp for the ship battle be calculated.

I would further suggest that while there is no loot to speak off, (we still need a lose coin count for the orcs, even if minimal) the ship itself is the treasure and some portion of its $ value should be remitted back in xp.

Do you train new marines or sailors from the local population to man the new ship, or do we hire from Greyhawk?

The experience will be nice. Do I head off to Greyhawk for training?

Well we can hire fresh and train from scratch, If we do this I'd like them to come from the south, Dyvers or Onwall, just so we don't get too much pro Greyhawk sentiment which could lead to a desire for alliance or allegiance in that direction. This is why I tried to recruit other displaced persons from the north rather than Greyhawk citizens in the first wave of recruits.

we can recruit from the peasants but that lessens our agricultural base

or we can hire new fodder for the walls and back-fill the marine positions with hardened troops from the existing units. As we saw with Bob, death comes easy to 0 level guys and on board you are much better off with a well trained unit than a mass of flunkies.. On a wall with lots of missile fire from cover the 0s are much more likely to stay alive and advance.

That we have 4 ships and only 2 crews and 7 marines its certainly time to up the ante. I think we would get volunteers for the marines because they become the richest soldiers (provided they survive) due to getting a share of prize money when a ship is taken. These fellows will likely double or triple their salary by taking part in our recent privateering .

Monetary treasure: 200 cp
80 sp
25 gp
2108 xp per character, with one share to be divided among Marines/sailors.

The boat is in moderately poor condition. Work will need to be done to bring it up to spec. (About 1 month's worth of work in Greyhawk, or 2 months work in Cirdastan)

Thank you

I turn the money over to the crew, with an additional 25 GP each of prize money from my purse
Additionally I give the widow if any 25GP or start a widows fund.

the second ship which did not make it to actual combat get 10gp each (encourages good performance and risk taking)

2108 / 11 = 192 xp per crew member, while I don't think this will change anything I send you an up to date excel file re town experience.

no hurry for the ship repairs, we've got no crew to man it, what will repairs cost locally? It can be put in the que as keep busy work for the ship hands/carpenters.
