Apparently skype has just added group video conferencing,,Now I suspect this requires a good stable/ high bandwidth connection at each end but it also costs $9/month for everybody using it.

It costs me about $9 a session in 407 fees from work to Newmarket (gas and wear and tear on the car would be additional).

If we play 3 times a month ($27 in fees a month) I could save $18 a month. The new computer (to be acquired - assume $500) will pay for itself in about 28 months!!!

The down side is that all of you have to subscribe as well.

If we all sign up the same week we can try a 7 day trial but there is there any point if you don't have a decent computer?

The other issue is, the $9 per month price is a reg price but if you sign up for a year its 33% off or 73.00ish only till the end of FEB

I don't have a webcam, so that's a problem. (And I don't really wan't to buy one.)

You not wanting to buy a camera is not a problem unless you want to play remotely,

I don't think everyone can or would want to play by camera, it would eventually become quite difficult to deal with movements, mapping etc, but it would allow Doug who travels the longest and is most prone to dying asleep at the wheel additional flexibility, especially in winter.
