| As kinda a throw-back to Troy's and my old D&D websites, how about we re-live those classic moments of RPGing... | |

| It's tough to think of anything that wasn't submitted to Dave's site, but here are a few more:
In high school, we PCs captured a giant floating castle in Troy's world and used it to drag our enemy (another PC, I believe) to death. High-tech and low-tech at the same time.
Also in Troy's world, my high-level magic-user cast chain lightning at a pair of titans and utterly destroyed them. We applied the spell incorrectly, but this was the damage: 26d6 to titan 1, then 25d6 to titan 2, then 24d6 to titan 1, etc. In total, it was 182d6 to titan 1 and 169d6 to titan 2--but they got to save for half damage.

I believe it was the original Ravenloft adventure. Do you remember carrying a door in each hand with which to sandwich monsters? What was his strength, again? When we cast find the path in the same adventure, Troy handed us the official map of the castle. We then took the place over and you painted the place pink inside and out. Remember when we took over an inn in Troy's world? Somehow that was linked to the trade in an illicit drug. Remember when SH and I made PCs in Troy's world that were all exactly 3'8"? I had a 3'8" human dwarf, and I think SH had a really tall halfling (3'8"). Troy wasn't amused, and I don't blame him. Anyway, we played the PCs straight--not as a joke (as I recall). They died after some of them were paralyzed by Nehwon ghouls (which turn one's flesh translucent or transparent). Remember when our cavaliers in Troy's world faced a military force, and Craig's attempt to charge an enemy leader were foiled by the DM (I don't remember the reason)? Remember when Sir Cil-Peepul (not sure on the spelling) rode a heavy warhorse into some guy's house and proceeded upstairs, presumably to kill people? This was before William Wallace did the same thing in Brave Heart (1995). Remember the pool table in Troy's parents' basement that we used to play on? Remember when Troy spread out his uber master world map on the living floor of my parents' place in North York? It filled much of the room.

He was having trouble explaining it anyway. - SteveL wrote:

I wasn't there for that, but I heard. Yes Troy did not take to kindly to messing with his stuff. Do you recall his reaction to Zendall cutting off his Hawkstone guy's head? and then I tried to throw him off the top stairs or something. - SteveL wrote:

Actually add to that, that Jonathan had a really short human (also 3'8"). So there were 3 of us all the same size , but different races. Yah, he got upset and killed us all quickly. But HEY, we DID play it very straight... One of the things I remember well was in Rod's campaign with Averin. Sneaking back in to (Hop's character's) house, which had been taken over by the "bad guys/occupying force" -- actually there were a couple of break-ins to that place ... but one in particular was when Averin snuck in invisible, and was listening in on some of the bad guy plans. "The Woman" casually glanced over in the direction of the doorway, smiled and winked at the invisible Averin. Jeez, I nearly shit myself. And had the character nearly do the same ... just got the hell out of there as fast as he could! Jeez, there were A LOT of great Averin moments. heheh --- the escape through the sewers was also memorable... The final battle of that epic adventure in SL's world was also very memorable ... that lich was insanely powerful! The image of the red moon was very cool....

| Dave is definately anti fun, changing how my skills worked more often than we played
Also the lengths he'd go to keep us dirt poor were amazing. If I utilized my skills to make money in town A by the time I got to town B, somehow my business plan was no longer viable, so each scam/business plan/angle was a one shot affair... even I only have so many ideas!
