Welcome.
Purpose of this forum: to facilitate discussions by locating them in one place (i.e., this forum), organizing topics by campaign (each campaign will have its own subforum), and eliminating the headache of managing email (headaches include: creating distribution lists, searching for old messages, emails lacking informative subject lines).
Suggestions are welcome. This is only a quick design to get the forum off the ground. What do you want to see here? My vision is to have a subforum for each campaign world, plus other subforum(s) for idle chatter and, perhaps for things like game mechanics and RPG lifestyle. We can even expand it to include SH's Wednesday Group.
Poking around the forum admin panel, I see that I can add custom character sheets and even implement die rolls right in the forum (not sure how the last one might be anything more than a gimmick). Polls are a feature here, too.
To SH:
Artwork is welcome. I don't like the icons beside each thread (they're supposed to be forts or settlements, I think).
To GMs:
After you register as a member, let me know what you want to name your own subforum and I'll create it and give you moderator status. Mine is "Mailed Fist", and is intended to cover my game system and campaign.
P.S. The title of this subforum ("Okay, you're in a tavern. . . .") is a nod to the salad days when Roddy, SH, and I would roleplay (or rollplay) ad hoc barroom brawls. We have a wealth of in-jokes and amusing phrases available for naming things around here: "brute ignorance and force", the Wand of Grick, etc.
